BIOGAS

Biogas has a great importance as fuel for CHPs because it is obtained from renewable resources at the place of consumption.
The intensive inland expansion of biogas plants also shows its effect in other European countries where the number of new biogas plants rises.

Beside of the renewable resources, industrial organic residuals (waste from food production or collection bin) are more and more used. The procedure and the necessary process engineering are similar to the sewage sludge digestion. Therefore, it can be drawn on long-term experience.

An additional aspect offers the public biogas-grid injection. The biogas can be produced at a place before it is refined into heat and electricity by one the f.u.n.k.e. SENERGIE CHPs.
