NATURAL AND LIQUID GAS

 

Electricity rates are causing companies trouble. Rising energy prices puzzle the economy more than the euro crisis. This is the result of a current survey of DIHK (Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce) with more than 1,500 participants.* Besides of additional energy efficiency measures, natural gas-powered CHPs offer a long-term secure economic option for his situation.

Power-heat-systems do not only produce electricity. They transform up to 95% of primary energy into electricity and heat. A higher fuel utilisation rate is achieved than by a separated electricity and heat production.

Natural and liquid gas have the lowest CO2 and particular emission of the most used primary energy sources. This leads to a rising number of CHPs at local properties and buildings as well as in manufacturing and industrial companies. Examples are larger hotels, abattoirs as well as other companies of the food and recycling industry, galvanic enterprises and industrial bakeries.

Natural and liquid gas-powered CHPs are economical interesting where a high amount of heat and electricity is consumed. Surplus of energy is fed into the public electrical grid and is remunerated according to the Heat and Power Act (KWKG).
